چکیده

The experimental study is aimed at analyzing photovoltaic module’s thermal and electrical performance (PV) with back surface cooling under Malaysian tropical climate conditions. of a passively cooled PV module integrated biomaterial (moist coconut fiber) was compared (PVT) system water circulation the rate 0.02 kg s-1 reference module. observed that succeeded in reducing temperature by more than 20%. However, PVT reduced only less 17%. energy efficiency improved remarkably almost 11%, but managed to increase 9%, approximately. It can be concluded nature-inspired fiber-based one potential alternatives active methods.

Experimental investigation of thermal and electrical performances of a nanofluid-cooled photovoltaic/thermal system equipped with a sheet-and-grooved serpentine tube collector

Introduction: In the present experimental investigation, the thermal and electrical performances of a photovoltaic/thermal system equipped with a sheet-and-grooved serpentine tube collector are investigated. The water-magnetite nanofluid is used as the heat transfer fluid. The effect of nanoparticle volume concentration (0-1%), nanofluid mass flow rate (10-40 kg/h) and groove pitch (0, 0.54 an...

Dynamic coupled thermal-and-electrical modelling of sheet-and-tube hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) collectors

In this paper we present a dynamic model of a hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) collector with a sheetand-tube thermal absorber. The model is used in order to evaluate the annual generation of electrical energy along with the provision of domestic hot-water (DHW) from the thermal energy output, by using real climate-data at high temporal resolution. The model considers the effect of a non-unifo...

The effect of SiO2 nanoparticle on the performance of photovoltaic thermal system: Experimental and Theoretical approach

The low conversion efficiency of solar cells produces large amounts of thermal energy to the cells, and with an increase in the temperature of solar cells, their electrical efficiency decreases. Therefore, a hybrid photovoltaic thermal system improves the overall efficiency of the system by adding thermal equipment to the solar cell and removing excessive heat from these cells. In this paper, w...

Verification of Thermal Performance Predictions of Prototypical Multi-jet Impingement Helium-cooled Divertor Module

An experimental investigation of the thermal performance of the He-Cooled Multi-Jet (HEMJ) modular divertor design developed by the Karlsruhe Research Center (FZK) was previously performed at Georgia Tech using air at Reynolds numbers (Re) spanning those at which the actual He-cooled divertor is to be operated. The electrically heated test section was constructed from a brass alloy with nearly ...
